RHYTHM IS THE CURE - Dance, Music and Chant
With International Tambourine Virtuoso, Singer and Dancer Alessandra Belloni

Southern Italian folk dances and rituals are joyous forms of music and dance therapy that have been a source of healing for hundreds of years. In this workshop, we’ll learn ancient Neapolitan chants used to invoke the healing powers and to honor the Black Madonna as a form of prayer to request miracles in our lives. A central part of the workshop will be learning the healing dance of the Pizzica Tarantata, a wild erotic trance dance from Puglia, used to heal mainly women who suffered from unrequited love, depression and repression of sexual desires. We’ll also learn the Tammurriata, a sensual dance from Naples, and the Calabrian spinning dance. We’ll experience how movement, dance, drumming and music help us to release anxiety and stress, dissolve sexual blocks and open us up to receive from the heart, by bringing the mind and body into a total state of relaxation.

* Participants are barefoot. Women should wear skirts, and if possible, everyone should wear white clothes. Tambourines will be provided, but you may bring your own.

Alessandra Belloni is Artistic Director, Founder and Lead Performer of "I GIULLARI DI PIAZZA", an Italian Music, Theatre and Dance Ensemble who are Artists-in-Residence at the Cathedral of St John the Divine in New York City. AWAKENING THE KUNDALINI - Healing the Original Wounding

WALKING THE TOR LABRYNTH

Walking the ancient labrynth which winds 7 times around Glastonbury Tor is an ideal way to prepare for the Goddess Conference (walking in) and to begin your transition home afterwards (walking out). Ground into yourself, the Goddess and Her sacred land within the largest 3-dimensional labyrinth known on Earth. It is really important if you undertake this journey that you walk BOTH IN & OUT. The labrynth works on many levels, taking you into another world, which can affect your life in many ways.  It will also hold you in the centre of the labrynth for the duration of the Conference. Walking out completes the process.

*Be prepared for physical as well as spiritual challenges: steep uneven ground, wild peeing and unpredictable weather. Bring a water bottle, snacks, a waterproof, walking boots and a staff/walking stick if you wish. Allow at least 7 hours (including ceremonies) to walk in and 6 hours to walk out. Time enters a different dimension as you walk the labrynth.

THE SAINT AND THE WHORE

Patriarchal religions deprived sexuality of its sacredness. If we want to be spiritual, if we want to meet and serve the Divine than we need to transcend our sexual desires. That is what we were told, and that is there deep down in many of us. But at an even deeper level, our souls and bodies remember those times when the Saint and the Whore were one, as we can all experience oneness and the embrace of the Divine through making love. In this workshop we journey with the Saint and with the Whore, with the Madonna and the Mistress. They are parts of us and while they are divided we cannot be whole. We follow these two separate paths through images, songs, meditation and dancing till they meet and merge in us. When the two become one then we can fully embrace our sexual power, and then our creativity can blossom and bless our lives.

Kriszta Veres is a Priestess of Avalon living in Budapest, Hungary. She is following the footsteps of the Goddess-loving people of Old Europe and is the founder of the Budapest Goddess Temple, and founder and teacher of the Priestess of Danu Training in Budapest. BEAUTIFUL SCARS

A day of reflection, honouring, gratitude and release. Past relationships, loves and heartbreaks leave their mark on the soul.  On this day workshop we will sit with our history and our past loves, acknowledging their place in our growth, finding the hidden treasures they left with us, and releasing them with gratitude and goodwill, leaving both free to live and love fully again. We will use paired work, personal reflection, energy healing and visualisations to find clarity and perspective, release emotional baggage, cut energetic ties, and find the beauty in the intricate scars of experience we carry in our hearts. The workshop will end with a fire ritual for release & transformation, surrendering to the fire what no longer serves us, and drawing its energy of passion and courage into our hearts, ready for new adventures.

Oona McFarlane is an Advanced Firewalk Instructor (SUNDOOR), a Reiki Master Teacher, Seichim Master, NLP Practitioner and storyteller. She co-founded and runs Tir na nOg Holistic Centre near Glasgow in 2004 and facilitates firewalks(2009 Goddess Conference), Reiki trainings and other transformational workshops and ceremonies at Tir na nOg and other locations. Peter Wood has walked a spiritual path all his life, studying and implementing a wide range of magickal systems from all over, and is proud to say he has learnt and taught in every country he’s explored. The Temascal or Sweatlodge is an old, old ritual, a ritual of rebirth. It is an invitation to partake in an elemental feast. Firstly we will light the fire together and then journey with drums, song, prayer and dance. Within the heart of the fire, stones are being heated, awakening them to the memory of their first life, the fire of conception. From the fire the hot stones will be brought into the lodge, which represents and is the Womb of Mother Earth, where they will meet with the water. In the lodge we will continue our songs and our prayers in this Womb at this time in this place of Avalon, calling for the manifestation of our dreams, calling our spirits, calling our will. We will open the door within to receive all the blessings from the Goddess of Love and this Goddess Conference, give thanks for our life, calling for healing for ourselves, our beloveds, purifying mentally, physically and emotionally, generating a power, a vibration of woman and sending that love to the heart of Mother Earth, Father Sky and all our relations.

An offering of deep healing for our feminine bodies, this ritual experience begins with a morning of breath work and movement to open our bodies and beingness into a space of receptivity. We will use this Sacred Dance to claim the power inherent in our womb spaces. Spiraling deeper together we will nourish our bodies with a shared lunch, before moving into the afternoon’s healing ritual. Holding the feminine power we have accessed through the Dance, we will then provide an opportunity for deep healing for each other through Yoni Massage. Yoni is a Sanskrit word meaning sacred space or source. This Tantric healing technique holds the capacity to heal trauma held in the tissues of the Yoni, help access orgasm for women who do not reach orgasm, and heighten pleasure states for women who would like to experience their orgasmic capacity more deeply.

The touch of sacred massage can support you on your path to re-connect with your deep self as woman and rediscover your body's sparking life energy, honouring the feminine in a state of being rather then doing. The idea is to explore our bodies so they can open in a flow of feeling, experiencing whatever arises in each moment. MIRROR OF APHRODITE: HEALING SEXUAL WOUNDS      Women Only

Gaze into the mirror of Aphrodite and experience yourself as part of the divine feminine whose sexuality is open, joyous and radiant…. The Goddess of Love calls to us all but when we are carrying wounds from the past – whether these be in our bodies, our psyche or our emotional selves – it can be difficult to truly answer that call. In a safe and sacred Temple space we will ritually dedicate ourselves to healing and take some steps along this path. Issues that can be addressed include a history of incest or abusive relationships or behaviours, lack of self-love, food and image problems, fear of intimacy and a broken heart. The workshop is gentle, deep and powerful and will allow you to transform yourself at your own pace. Often, we struggle to heal and integrate such wounds in our physical, emotional and relationship lives without accessing the spiritual realm, which can give gentle, clear support and guidance uniquely tailored to our own situation. Aphrodite is a Goddess who dances beauty and truth into our lives, showing us where and how to heal, as she lends the support of the divine feminine to our individual circumstances. In this workshop, each woman will be guided to perform a simple, private ritual calling upon the energies of the Goddess for the healing of any sexual wounds, even those that may be cultural or non-specific. WALKING THE SACRED LAND OF AVALON

The Lady of Avalon reveals Herself to us in the sacred landscape in and around Glastonbury: Wearyall Hill, Chalice Hill, the Tor, Windmill Hill, all form the shape of a huge woman lying on the Earth. Walking Her body connects us deeply to Her. At the same time these landscape features also appear as a giant Swan, flying in from the Northeast, with the Crone riding Her back. We dedicate a day to being outside, to walk this sacred land, to connect to Nolava, the Lady of Avalon, through prayer, song and ceremony. We open ourselves to Her love and healing through Her sacred land.

VENUS RISING – EMBRACING THE GODDESS OF LOVE

Meet the Goddess of Love in the Chalice Well gardens where the healing waters flow from this sacred spring. In the morning we will be weaving our own stories and experiences of love into the story of Aphrodite, to bring her ancient myth alive. In the afternoon we will each create our own simple icon to the Goddess of Love from collage images and gorgeous things. There will be chanting, dancing, storytelling, ritual and much lusciousness to create a day to delight and fill the heart to bursting. 

Natasha Wardle has been working with Mary Magdalene in her own spiritual practice for over twenty years. Her life’s journey has taken her from the BBC to the World Conference for Women in Beijing, from peace initiatives in Bosnia to the Goddess Festival in Budapest. She facilitates ceremonies, retreats, workshops and gives presentations in the UK and internationally. 	As confirmation of your booking you will receive a Fringe Day Workshop Ticket.  It is essential that you bring this to the workshop as evidence of your booking.
	Day workshops usually begin at 10.00am (arrive at 9.45am for a prompt start) and end between 4.00-4.30pm. Check times for individual workshops.
